Build your own gingerbread house – and help create a festive atmosphere in Åmot!

Vinje Næringslag invites young and old, school classes, groups of friends, families, companies and teams to take part in this year’s gingerbread village in Åmot town center. From November 29, you can submit your contribution – and the country is growing towards Christmas!

Important dates

  • Start date: From Friday, November 29
  • Deadline for submission: Dec. 20
  • Drop-off point and exhibition: Draumheim, Fristadsenteret in Åmot
  • Selection of winners: December 31.

  • Anyone who wants to spread joy and creativity!

Rules for participation

  • The house must be made of gingerbread (home-made or ready-made dough is fine)
  • Decorations should be edible
  • Max size of base surface: 40 x 40 cm
  • Deliver the house fully decorated
  • Mark the contribution with name, contact details and title of the house

Jury composed of representatives from Vinje Næringslag and local partners.

Exhibition

The gingerbread houses will be exhibited in the window at Draumheim, Fristadsenteret. So that everyone can see the atmospheric gingerbread village take shape when they shop for Christmas.
