Kappelnuten, close to the city center, offers a view of Åmot, and is at its most beautiful at sunset. If you want a wider view, you can follow the marked trail to Fonnlidnuten (650 m above sea level).

Kappelnuten, which is only about 600 meters from the town center, is a lovely little peak with panoramic views of Åmot. This is a great place to take in the view of the town center or enjoy a colorful sunset on a hot summer evening.
From Kappelnuten you can easily follow the clearly marked trail to Fonnlidnuten. This wonderful hike is about 2.7 kilometers long, and when you finally reach the top at 650 meters, you'll be able to enjoy an even more beautiful view of Åmot. The short but steep climb to the top will also raise your heart rate a little, but the experience is worth the climb.
