The defense museum in Vinje is owned by Vinje municipality and operated by Venelaget for Vinje Forsvarsmuseum.
Activity information
Our goal is to provide information about the fighting in Vinjesvingen in 1940, life during the war and have exhibitions related to this.
We also aim to provide information about the history of defense in Vinje and West Telemark, with objects and exhibitions about people and operations carried out in our area.
We have a particular focus on informing young people in the local area.
School classes are therefore warmly welcomed.
The museum is open for guided tours in the summer.
