If you’re coming from the east or west along the E-134, you should take your break at Mjonøy in Vinje.
Our wood-fired bakery is very popular, and is open from Easter until the fall holidays.
You can visit our self-service bakery and help yourself to large, cheeky skillings buns or bread from the wood-fired stone oven.
During the summer months, our café is open every day, with our very popular Mjonøyburger on the menu.
Here you can get a real home-made snack.
Much of it is based on local ingredients from Telemark.
If you’re happy to stay longer, we have cabins to suit all needs, as well as a small campsite at the top of the area.
The rivers Klevastøylåi and Smørkleppåi run around Mjonøy and form an island as you can hear in the name.
They run slowly past and lull you to sleep.
