Program from kl.
13.00: Vinjestoga – in use for 200 years In 2024, it will be 200 years since Olav Plassen and his family moved into Vinjestoga.
We will celebrate this with a guided tour of Vinjestoga by Aasmund Nordstoga, followed by cake and coffee at Vinjesenteret.
Telling stories with needle and thread… Is it possible to combine embroidery as a craft tradition with New Norwegian literature?
And can the story of Storegut be told in new ways?
Yes!
Vinje Handverkslag, in collaboration with Vinjesenteret, will inform about the embroidery project Vinjerevla this day.
The word ‘revle’ comes from the Old Norse word ‘refill’, indicating a long narrow strip of cloth.
From June 2024, it will be possible for visitors to take part in the embroidery of the 11.5 meter long fox based on the poem cycle “Storegut” by Aasmund Olavsson Vinje.
We walk in a group from the parking lot outside Vinjesenteret up to Vinjestoga.
Welcome to a celebration of A.O. Vinje’s life and poetry!
