The hike starts from Fiskestigen (highway 854), about halfway between Hylland and Øyfjell.
Between Fjøsteigane (goat farm/cottage) and the Vehuskjerringa parking lot you will find the starting point and signs to Furufjell.
This is an easy and pleasant hike where you don’t need any special equipment other than good footwear.
You start through boggy terrain, so mountain shoes or boots are recommended in the summer.
In winter you also need good footwear, but a pair of snowshoes may also be a good idea.
Slight incline all the way, and a fantastic view at the top.
