The Vinje Center is a national center for poetry and journalism based on the journalist and poets Aasmund Olavsson Vinje, Aslaug Vaa, Tarjei Vesaas and Halldis Moren Vesaas.
Guests will gain insight into what poetry and journalism tell us about ourselves, and what it means to us. The center contains an exhibition with excerpts from books and journalism, pictures, quotes, great digital installations, games about source criticism, children’s trail, children’s wall, reading corner and a book collection.
We also have a small museum shop and a simple restaurant at the reception.
