❄️ Wednesday, February 21: The Defense Museum will be open between. 13. 00- 15.00, and welcomes you for an exciting chat about Vinje’s defense history and the fighting in 1940. It is also possible to see a number of artifacts from the time.
One hour guided tour in groups of 10 – 12 people.
❄️ Thursday, February 22: Poetry concert at Vinjesenteret with Stein Versto and Per Anders Buen Garnås
❄️ Friday, February 23: Kviss at Groven Camping
❄️ Saturday, February 24, 12:00 – 13:30: Ukraine celebration at Vinjehuset. Speech by the mayor, the Ukrainian national anthem, selection of stories from Ukrainian refugees in Vinje, concert with Ukrainian music and serving of coffee.
❄️ Strap on your skis and head for Vinje’s cross-country ski trails; you can find maps of these on the ski trail.
❄️ Both near the town center and outside, you will find many great hiking trails where you can stroll and enjoy the tranquility of the forest.
Our hiking guide includes the most popular hikes. On some of them it can be advantageous to use snowshoes.
If you need something for your trip, you can borrow it from the Vinje volunteer center’s equipment bank.
❄️ Vinje municipality is one of the few municipalities in the country that has its own network of trails for recreational snowmobiling, and perhaps a snowmobile trip awaits you during the winter holidays? ❄️ Treat yourself to a good lunch, a tempting slice of cake and a cup of coffee at Kakeringen, our local café.

❄️ If you are tougher than the train and like a bit of excitement, we can tempt you with both sauna and ice bathing at Spegle Hyllandfoss.
