February: The Defense Museum is open between kl.

00- 15.00, and welcomes you for an exciting chat about Vinje’s defense history and the fighting in 1940.
It is also possible to see some artifacts from the time.
One hour guided tour in groups of 10 – 12 people.

Speech by the mayor, the Ukrainian national anthem, selection of stories from Ukrainian refugees in Vinje, concert with Ukrainian music and serving of coffee.
❄️ Strap on your skis and head for Vinje’s cross-country ski trails; a map of these can be found on the ski trail.
❄️ Both near the town center and outside, you’ll find many great hiking trails you can stroll along and enjoy the tranquility of the forest.

On some of these it can be advantageous to use snowshoes.
If you need something for your trip, you can borrow it from the Vinje volunteer center’s equipment bank.
❄️ Vinje municipality is one of the few municipalities in the country to have its own network of trails for recreational snowmobiling, and perhaps a snowmobile trip awaits you during the winter holidays?
